Xentry is a cell-penetrating peptide (CCP) composed of seven amino acids from the hepatitis B virus: LCLRPVG. It binds to anti-B-raf antibodies and siRNA, effectively killing B-raf-dependent melanoma cells. Xentry can be used alone or in combination with β-galactosidase to deliver to various tissues in mice, excluding circulating blood cells. This peptide can also be used to deliver macromolecules (antibodies, siRNA, enzymes).
