TpD is a chimeric T-helper epitope with a specific site that can be cleaved by caspase. Immunization with TpD elicits a strong antibody response and promotes long-term CD4 immune responses in animals and humans. TpD can effectively bind to multiple human MHCII types, primarily HLA-DRB1, but can also bind to other HLA alleles such as [DRB3], [DRB4], [DRB5], [DP], and [DQ], and can be used to enhance the immune response to peptide vaccines.
