Stalk peptide is a GPR110 activator. After being released from the extracellular GAIN domain (GPCR autoproteolysis inducing domain) of the receptor via an autocatalytic process, the stalk peptide inserts into the receptor's ligand-binding pocket, thereby activating the receptor. Stalk peptide can promote neurogenesis and synapse formation, making it suitable for research on neurodevelopment and neurodegenerative diseases.
