They produced the formula of MCCOY'S 5A by adjusting the amount of amino acids added on the basis medium 5A. Then Hsu and Kellogg successfully cultured a series of primary cells from a variety of tissues, including normal bone marrow, skin, gingiva, testes, mouse kidney, omentum, adrenal glands, lung, spleen, rat embryo and other tissues.
