rProtein L Beads 4FF is a versatile affinity chromatography medium for the isolation and purification of monoclonal antibodies. Protein L is genetically reprogrammed to be expressed by Escherichia coli, retaining its binding properties to the antibody κchain without affecting the antigen-binding site of the antibody. Protein L has a good binding force with human and mouse kappa light chains, and may also bind specifically to some kappa subtypes of other species. Protein L binds weakly to rabbit immunoglobulins and does not bind to immunoglobulins of bovine, goat, or sheep origin.
