Rat VIP ELISA Kit

Solarbio ELISA kit uses the quantitative competitive enzyme immunoassay (competitive ELISA) technique. An rat VIP antigen has been pre-coated onto a microplate; Add gradient-diluted standards and pre-diluted samples separately then add a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for rat VIP to allow competitive binding between soluble rat VIP in the samples/standards and the plate-coated rat VIP for the limited antibody binding sites. After washing away any unbound substances horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated Streptavidin is added to the wells. After extensive washing a tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent is added to the wells for signal development. A Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development. The color intensity inversely proportional to the concentration of rat VIP is then measurable at 450nm. You can calculate the concentration of rat VIP in the samples by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
