Product Description: Pluripotent Stem Cell Alkaline Phosphatase Color Development Kit is a kit used for alkaline phosphatase staining detection in pluripotent stem cells，and can also be used for alkaline phosphatase staining detection in other applications. Alkaline phosphatase (AP/ALP/AKP/ALKP/ALPase/Alk Phos)，EC 3.1.3.1，is a type of hydrolase that removes phosphate groups from substrate molecules by hydrolyzing phosphate monoesters，generating phosphate ions and free hydroxyl groups. Its dephosphorylation substrates include nucleotides，proteins，and alkaloids，and it is most effective under alkaline conditions. This enzyme is a collective term for a group of isoenzymes. BCIP/NBT is a commonly used substrate for alkaline phosphatase. Under the catalysis of alkaline phosphatase，BCIP is hydrolyzed to produce a highly reactive product，which reacts with NBT to form insoluble dark blue to blue-violet NBT-formazan.
