Product Description L-Valine， one of the eight essential amino acids for humans， belongs to the branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs). It cannot be synthesized by the human body and must be obtained from food. L-Valine contributes to muscle repair and growth， participates in energy supply， and ensures the normal cognitive function of the nervous system. In synergy with leucine and isoleucine， it can effectively alleviate exercise-induced fatigue and reduce skeletal muscle loss. L-Valine lacks ultraviolet (UV) absorption groups and strong fluorescent properties， and thus cannot be directly determined by conventional detectors. This kit employs a pre-column derivatization method: under weakly alkaline conditions， OPA (o-phthalaldehyde) and 3-MPA (3-mercaptopropionic acid) specifically react with the amino group of L-Valine to form fluorescent derivatives. Upon excitation with ultraviolet light， these derivatives emit fluorescence at a longer wavelength than the excitation light. The fluorescence intensity is proportional to the L-Valine concentration with a high response， making this method suitable for automated batch analysis by HPLC. This kit is specifically designed for the rapid and efficient extraction and quantification of L-Valine in plant samples.
