Product Description L-Leucine is one of the essential branched-chain amino acids for humans， which cannot be synthesized by the human body and must be obtained from food. This kit employs a pre-column derivatization method: under weakly alkaline conditions， OPA (o-phthalaldehyde) and 3-MPA (3-mercaptopropionic acid) specifically react with the amino group of L-Leucine to form fluorescent derivatives. Upon excitation with ultraviolet light， these derivatives emit fluorescence at a longer wavelength than the excitation light. The fluorescence intensity is proportional to the L-Leucine concentration with a high response， making this method suitable for automated batch analysis by HPLC.
