Product description: Pepsin is secreted by the main cells of gastric mucosa and decomposes proteins in food into small peptides. It is generally used for the identification of neurological hypoacidity. Chronic gastritis, chronic gastric dilatation, chronic duodenitis and other symptoms can also cause a decrease in pepsin secretion. Pepsin can catalyze the hydrolysis of hemoglobin, and the product（tyrosine）has a characteristic absorption peak at 275 nm. The enzyme activity can be calculated by measuring the change of absorbance. Reagents and Equipment Required but Not Provided: Ultraviolet spectrophotometer，centrifuge，water bath，adjustable pipette，1mL quartz cuvette，mortar/homogenizer，ice and distilled water.
