The NG2 binding peptide is a short peptide that specifically recognizes the NG2 proteoglycan and is obtained through phage screening. This peptide can precisely target tumor angiogenesis in vitro and in vivo through its interaction with the NG2 binding site. In wild-type tumor-bearing mice, the NG2 binding peptide exhibited significant homing ability, but this effect was not observed in NG2 knockout mice. Due to the tissue specificity exhibited by NG2, the NG2 binding peptide can be used for applications such as tumor-targeted therapy, drug delivery, and molecular imaging diagnostics.
