LinTT1 peptide is a tumor-penetrating peptide containing the amino acid sequence AKRGARST. It can target peritoneal cancer (PC) by binding to the p32 (gC1qR) receptor. LinTT1 peptide can also bind to iron oxide nanohelices (NWs) to form nanocarriers that can be taken up by peritoneal cancer cells in vitro and enter the mitochondria; it also exhibits good tumor targeting and penetration properties in mouse in vivo experiments. Furthermore, the combined application of LinTT1-functionalized nanocarriers with the pro-apoptotic peptide [D(KLAKLAK)2] showed significant tumor-suppressive effects in a mouse peritoneal tumor model. LinTT1 peptide may become a potential delivery vector in peritoneal cancer research.
