KWWCRW is a Holliday linker inhibitory peptide with anticancer activity. This peptide inhibits homologous recombination repair (HDR) in the DNA repair process by binding to Holliday linker intermediates in the reaction and blocking their depolymerization. Furthermore, KWWCRW can also inhibit site-specific recombination of bacteriophages in vitro.
