IALYLQQNW is a nonapeptide sequence derived from the latent membrane protein 1 (LMP1) of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and is a potential T cell epitope. This peptide activates EBV-targeting cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs), enabling them to recognize and destroy EBV-infected cells expressing LMP1. IALYLQQNW has shown significant implications for the immune response to EBV-related tumors in studies of Hodgkin's disease and nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
