The HiBiT tag is a ligand composed of complementary peptides (VSGWRLFKKIS) that strongly binds to LgBiT. It functions by fusing with the Gβ subunit of the target receptor. In this system, the binding of LgBiT to HiBiT promotes the stability of the ETR and G protein. Furthermore, HiBiT can bind to specific target proteins (GFP), enabling the quantitative analysis of their role in phagocytosis.
