Glycerol-3-phosphate (G3P) is an important intermediate in carbohydrate and lipid metabolic pathways and plays an important role in biochemical reactions. Glycerol-3-phosphate (G3P) is catalyzed by glycerophosphate oxidase (GPO) to produce hydrogen peroxide and dihydroxyacetone phosphate. Hydrogen peroxide and 4-AA and 2,4-dichlorophenol produce red products. There is a characteristic absorption peak at 505 nm, according to which the content of glycerol-3-phosphate can be calculated.
