Free Fatty Acid(FFA) Content Fluorometric Assay Kit

Free fatty acids ( FFA ) are non-esterified fatty acids. FFA in serum is mainly an intermediate product of fat metabolism. It is an important metabolic substrate for energy metabolism of body cells and provides energy for metabolism of heart， liver， skeletal muscle and other organs. In the presence of ATP and Mg2+， Acyl Coa Synthetase ( ACS ) catalyzes the combination of FFA and coenzyme A to form acyl coenzyme A. Acyl coenzyme A is catalyzed by Acyl-CoA Oxidase ( ACO ) to generate hydrogen peroxide ( H2O2 ). H2O2 reacts with the fluorescent probe to form a strong fluorescent product under the action of the enzyme. The fluorescence intensity at the excitation wavelength of 535 nm and the emission wavelength of 587 nm is proportional to the content of H2O2. The kit calculates the FFA content of the sample by measuring the production of H2O2.(This kit can detect serum， cultured cells and animal tissue samples. )
