EPI-X4 (hSA408–423 peptide), an antagonist of CXC motif chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4), has an IC50 value of 8.6 μM. This compound can block CXCL12-mediated signal transduction and effectively inhibit chemokine-induced leukemia cell migration and invasion. Furthermore, EPI-X4 exhibits anti-inflammatory effects in a mouse model and has antiviral activity against CXCR4-tropic HIV, also with an IC50 of 8.6 μM.
