Detergent removes resin

During protein extraction and sample preparation，detergents/surfactants are essential for protein solubilization，especially when dealing with hydrophobic proteins. High concentrations of residual detergents in protein samples may interfere with subsequent research experiments，including enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)，isoelectric focusing (IEF)，protein protease digestion，and mass spectrometry analysis. This product can efficiently remove unbound free anionic，nonionic and zwitterionic detergents (such as SDS，Triton X-100，CHAPS) from protein and peptide samples with high sample recovery rate. It possesses a high detergent binding capacity: every milliliter of immobilized resin can bind 6 mg of SDS and 14 mg of Triton X-100. It is recommended to use ≥4 mL resin for every 1 mL protein/peptide solution. Optimizing the ratio of resin to sample can improve detergent removal efficiency and the recovery rate of proteins and peptides. For resin samples with a volume greater than 1 mL，use a low centrifugal force of 200×g to avoid resin compaction. For samples with a volume less than 1 mL，a centrifugal speed higher than 1，000×g can be used.
