Des octanol (Des acyl) gastrin is an acylated precursor peptide of gastrin. Deoctanyl gastrin is converted into gastrin by adding an octane group to the enzyme. Research has shown that in the bloodstream, the content of de octanol gastric growth hormone is approximately 20 times higher than that of gastric growth hormone. Deoctanol gastric growth hormone is not an agonist of gastric growth hormone receptor 1a (GHSR1a).
