Cortisol ELISA Kit

Solarbio ELISA kit uses the quantitative competitive enzyme immunoassay (competitive ELISA) technique. An human Cortisol antigen has been pre-coated onto a microplate; Add gradient-diluted standards and pre-diluted samples separately, then add a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for human Cortisol to allow competitive binding between soluble human Cortisol in the samples/standards and the plate-coated human Cortisol for the limited antibody binding sites. After washing away any unbound substances, horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated Streptavidin is added to the wells. After extensive washing, a tetramethyl-benzidine (TMB) reagent is added to the wells for signal development. A Solution containing sulfuric acid is used to stop color development. The color intensity, inversely proportional to the concentration of human Cortisol, is then measurable at 450nm. You can calculate the concentration of human Cortisol in the samples by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
