CMX-8933 is an 8-amino acid peptide derived from ependymal proteins of goldfish brain neurotrophic factors. This compound can enhance the activity of c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK), promote the phosphorylation of JNK and c-Jun proteins, and increase the levels of c-Jun and c-Fos mRNA in cells. CMX-8933 is primarily intended to explore the functions of ependymal proteins in neuroplasticity, learning, memory formation, and neurogenesis.
