Determination of Significance: Albumin is the most important protein in human plasma. It is synthesized by the liver and is an important nutrient in the human body. Measurement Principle: In the acidic environment, the albumin molecule is positively charged, and combines with the negatively charged Bromocresol Purple (BCP) to form a green complex, which has a specific absorption peak at 603 nm. The absorbance of the complex is proportional to the concentration of albumin.
