AFM1 ELISA Kit

Solarbio ELISA kits utilize a competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique. The AFM1 antigen is coated on the wells of the microplate; during the experiment both the standards and the prediluted samples are added followed by the addition of the enzyme-labeled antibody working solution. The AFM1 in the samples competes with the immobilized AFM1 antigen on the plate for the binding of AFM1 antibodies. After washing the chromogenic substrate TMB is added; if the sample contains varying concentrations of AFM1 the HRP will convert the colorless TMB into a blue-colored product with varying intensity (inversely proportional). Upon the addition of the stop solution the wells turn yellow. Finally the absorbance (OD) of the samples in the wells is measured at λmax=450 nm (OD=450 nm) where the concentration of AFM1 is inversely proportional to the OD450 value. The concentration of AFM1 in the samples is calculated by plotting a standard curve.
