Acid Tyrode's Solution (pH2.5)

Balanced Salt Solution, BSS is consistent with the environment such as pH, osmotic pressure for cell growth. It is able to maintain osmotic pressure, control pH balace, provide energy or inorganic salts essential for cell metabolism. It meets the basic requirment for cell growth and metabolism in in vitro experiments. Acid Tyrode's Solution is mainly composed of NaCl, KCl, MgCl2, CaCl2, glucose, etc. , with pH of 2.5 and has been filtrataion sterilized. Acid Tyrode's Solution is one of balance salt solutions, it is commonly used in cell culture of mouse embryos and removal of the zona pellucida from oocytes/embryos.
