A11 (ANXA1-derived 11 amino acid-long peptide) is a peptide that blocks the interaction between ANXA1 and EphA2. A11 reduces the binding of ANXA1 to EphA2 and increases the binding of Cbl (the E3 ubiquitin ligase of EphA2) to EphA2. A11 effectively reduces EphA2 levels and significantly increases its ubiquitination, promoting EphA2 internalization and the co-localization of EphA2 and Cbl in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) cells. A11 inhibits the proliferation, migration, and invasion of NPC cancer cells, while also inhibiting angiogenesis.
