It promotes cell division and enlargement, induces adventitious root formation, increases fruit set, prevents fruit drop, and alters the ratio of male to female flowers. Naphthalene acetic acid can enter plants through leaves, tender bark on branches, or seeds, and is transported to target sites via the phloem. Commonly used on wheat, rice, cotton, tea, mulberry, tomato, apple, melons, potato, forest trees, etc. , it serves as an effective plant growth stimulant. When used for fruit drop prevention, avoid excessive concentrations as high levels may stimulate ethylene production within plants, causing adverse effects. For root promotion, it is advisable to mix with indole-3-butyric acid or other root-stimulating agents. While naphthalene acetic acid alone effectively promotes root development, it may result in suboptimal seedling growth. When spraying melons and fruits, ensure leaves are uniformly wetted.
